Activities

The heart of our school is, of course, teaching French. Our teachers are dedicated to providing high-quality language instruction in small groups, ensuring personal attention and effective learning.

While we do not run a full-scale leisure program, we warmly welcome social contact between students, and parents are free to arrange additional activities outside school hours for their children. At the same time, we are happy to guide you with suggestions and help you discover the many wonderful activities Saint-Raphaël has to offer in the afternoons and on weekends.

School-organized Moments

Friday gatherings: Music, appetizers, and open conversations with teachers in the school garden.

Picnics: Friendly evening picnics on the central beach with staff and fellow students.

Cultural activity: Learn pétanque (“jeu de boules”) with locals on Tuesday afternoons.

Sports & Recreation

Tennis: Improve your game at Tennis Club Baudino with the skilled instructor, Olivier Maes. Tuition fee: €30 per hour (same price whether individual or group). You can also book a tennis court directly for about €15 per hour. Call + (0) 494 19 22 09 to reserve.

Golf: at the nearby Golf de Valescure

Sailing or windsurfing: At the Club Nautique de Saint-Raphaël, adults and youngsters can take lessons in dinghy sailing or windsurfing. Instruction is entirely in French, allowing participants to learn sailing terms and commands while practicing on the water. For details, contact the secretariat at

Stade Nautique: Olympic pool complex with sauna and recreation at very affordable rates.

Excursions

Half- or full-day trips:

• Boat trips to Saint-Tropez.

• Visits to art museums such as Chagall, Matisse, Picasso.

• Wine tasting at well-known wineyards like Château Saint-Martin.

• Exploring the beautiful Gorges du Verdon or villages such as St-Paul-de-Vence.

Family-friendly options:

Aqualand waterpark is a nearby facililty in Saint-Aygulf outside of Fréjus, suitable for the whole family. Bring your own lunch or choose from several restaurants inside the park.

Horseback riding is available at the Ranch Équestre Les Murettes in Roquebrune, about 15 km from Saint-Raphaël, or at the Ranch des Trois Fers in Le Dramont, which specializes in ponies for younger children.

The Principle

You’re free to plan your own leisure activities during your stay. The school also occasionally arranges excursions and events that anyone who’s interested is welcome to join. For these outings, the school has a minibus available for transport.
