Beginners are placed in a small group with an English-speaking teacher, while more advanced students join classes that match their experience. Each week ends with a short progress check so we can track your development and adjust your placement if needed.
We provide all course textbooks on loan at no extra cost, along with additional handouts during lessons. Please bring your own basic writing materials. For extra support, we recommend bringing a French grammar, dictionary, or verb reference book (e.g., Bescherelle) for personal use.
First day evaluation: On arrival, teachers place you in a suitable group based on the level indicated in your registration form.
Self-assessment scale: You are asked, “On a scale of 0 to 5, where would you place your current level in French?” Levels range from pure beginner to advanced/university level.
Flexibility: If needed, you may switch groups within the first two days to find the best fit.
Beginners: Students with no prior knowledge (A1–A1+ on the international scale) join a small beginner group taught by a teacher who also speaks English.
Other levels: Students with prior knowledge (A2, B1, B2, etc.) are placed accordingly.
At the end of each week, our teachers carry out a brief evaluation of every student’s progress. This helps us track your development and, if appropriate, place you in the next level starting Monday morning.
Provided by the school: Textbooks (loaned at no extra cost) and additional A4 handouts distributed during the course.
Students bring: Basic writing materials.
Recommended: A French grammar, dictionary, and verb reference (e.g., Bescherelle) for personal use.
